About O530W77WER

Some ideas of an 19-year old boy to improve the transportation and economy climate and promote stability and prosperity for everyone. Without endorsements, patritoisms and elsewhere that would be erroneous for the times what we are.

Time for the Boeing (777) Izinski Project

For 777-200LR, 777-300, 777-300ER and 747-400 replacement and Airbus A350-1000/A380 counterattack

This IS the Boeing 777 Izinski Super-Upgrade Program

No, it isn’t in tribute of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds character Akiza Izinski (or for more puritans, Aki Izayoi)

And No. It’s not a thing that terrifies James McNerney, who is in those civil wars against IAM 751 and other Unions (like SPEEA), and it’s not a Yellowstone project or a 7-late-7 fiasco, but a revolutionary redesign to the one of the greatest aircraft ever (or the way to save him).

Would be good if Akiza summons “Black Rose Dragon” to attack Boeing HQ in Chicago to give a letter to Jim McNerney and that letter said “You’re fired”, like Donald Trump.

Started by the question: Should Boeing 777 be condemned to obsolescence and destruction by Airbus A350 or should Boeing 777 be renewed to compete against them? I answered “Yes, the second, but not in the way they’re doing“.

Now, REALLY: Differences between current-777 and Izinskis:

1. New upper-deck segment in futuristic materials: Added a double tempered glass, translucent 2nd decker, with translucid interior and material for keep cabin pressure (should be approved by FAA and EASA) (this deck has 1/2 width of 777 – capable to 4-abreast Y or 3 in J) to the top of the Boeing 777, make a outrageous design, which last part of the upper-deck frame (on 3rd and 4th (or 4th and 5th, in case of 777 Izinski-300) doors) is reserved to the Crew Rest Area (which crew rests in long-range flights).

2. Longer length:

777 Izinski-200 – 69.3m (350 passengers at 3 class) – Replaces 77L, 773, bottom 77W and competes against bottom Airbus A350-1000.

777 Izinski-300 – 75.3m (410 passengers at 3 class) – Replaces top 77W and 744 and competes against top Airbus A350-1000 and bottom Airbus A380.

2A: Larger fuselage: The width of fuselage would be increased to the current 5.6m to 5.65m.

3. Larger wingspan: 69.5m with raked wingtips, folding function (CFRP wing) to enter current Code E taxiways and gates, only 350 kg weight penalty compared to 1,200 kg weight penalty as the original 777-200 folding wingtip.

4. Lighter materials: Beside the lightweight glass, would be used Aluminium-Lithium alloys and CFRP in Izinskis fuselage to low the weight of aircraft to 2/3 of the today MTOW for Boeing 777-300ER (estimated to be 351,000 kg).

5. Engines: Beside of General Electric’s GE9X, with 105,000 lbs and advanced technology, Rolls-Royce (with RB3025 (based in venerable Trent 1000 and also in Trent XWB)) and Pratt & Whitney (engine based on PW1000G Geared Turbofan technology) would be welcome to be part of project and present their engine proposals and apply into the Izinskis to cover more markets and airline needs.
The Izinskis will remain as twin-engined aircraft, capable of ETOPS-330, as the 777 ever was.

6. Same gear width: 12m

7. Same appliabilty to standard runways: Despite of being Code F, the Izinskis will remain capable to operate on standard 45m runways as the current 777 ever did.

8. More Range:

777 Izinski-200: 15,300 km

777 Izinski-200L: 18,200 km

777 Izinski-300: 15,600 km

9. New Interiors: The Izinskis hava a complete new interior,  mood light based on the 737 MAX with a mixture of colors and a complete new interior design, making the 787 ones obsolete.

From the other side: Some Airbuses with potential

Even as Boeing fan, sometimes, I had to admit the Airbus side makes some good aircraft. Despite I have been devaluating the work (more after Air France Flight 447), I never disrespected the Airbus side, and even praised some Airbus aircraft, like the A330.

Some Airbus to be In:

1. Airbus A300: The Granddaddy of ’em all!

2. Airbus A310: Something Little to make the Job

3. Airbus A330: The Gold Standard of Short-to-Medium Widebodies

4. Airbus A340 (especially -500 and -600): Make 4 Engines 4 Long Haul

Some Airbus to be Out:

1. Airbus A320: Ugly and Errific (Due to small form, but would be an great aircraft to replace B757, like American Airlines is doing)

2. Airbus A380: Big, fat and can’t pass in all doors (sorry, the aircraft is too wide)

I don’t have enough impression about A350. But, has some good reviews.

Manifesto: Boeing Needs New ideas: 5 new ideas to save Boeing (BCA) from near collapse

Well, with this “Holy War” on Unions lead Boeing to made a “dangerous” idea to making aircrafts outside Everett to shut up Unions and generate more revenue, with lower (not much) salaries.

But there is a couple of problems with this idea (And I am a convict Boeing fan, but this Boeing paradigma, that will be presented, very things or even all, at Boeing, should be changed, for Pete’s Sake!):

1. Boeing 787 had problems that never stops to be news, due to outsourcing product parts and battery flaws.

2. Airbus has surpassed Boeing from every segment: First with A320 surpassed B737, A330 surpassed B767, then A380 surpassed B747, and now this A350 threats the B777.

3. If Boeing doesn’t stop this problem, it would be the “Apocalypse” for Boeing:

That would be divided in 3 scenarios:

3.1 – An Internal Civil War, leading to instability in Boeing Company;

3.2 – Boeing will go purely bankrupt and sell commercial aviation segment, to another company;

3.3 – Jim McNerney would be fired and arrested for mismanagement crimes to commercial division of Boeing;

For solving this problems, there will be, from my part, an “action plan” for Boeing:

1. Launch a 737/757 replacement program: Wouldn’t be call “797”, (due to reservation for 777 replacement): Would be called Boeing 907 and covers the 120-300 passenger segment with an optimized comfort: Keeps the single aisle path and would be a great option for ultra-thin markets with an 12,000 km range, (in case of L aircraft), and, to avoid 787 problems, would apply for batteries, the Elon Musk (of Tesla) solution proposed to put back into service the 787, with water cooling. If doesn’t result, will going back to Ni-Cd batteries of 777.

The Boeing 907-11 would be a perfect A350 and 787 killer, due to the perfect functionality of getting 300 pax into a narrowbody.

Types:

Boeing 907-6: 100-120 pax

Boeing 907-7: 120-140 pax

Boeing 907-7L: same as 907-7, with more range

Boeing 907-8: 140-170 pax

Boeing 907-9: 170-230 pax

Boeing 907-9L: same as 907-9, with more range

Boeing 907-10: 230-270 pax

Boeing 907-11: 270-300 pax

2. Launch a deep 787 redesign: Due to battery problems, the image of 787 was badly damage like the JT9D problems of 747 in early 1970s, and teething flaws in 777 in late 1990s. To save from damaging more, the old Li-Ion would be retired and applied the same battery solution (from the Tesla guy), (or Ni-Cd batteries if failed), to 787, and reduce the composites in 25%, and using Al-Li, instead. The aircraft will be starting with SE (from Safe Edition/Second Edition)

Types:

Boeing 787-8SE: same pax capacity as the 787-8

Boeing 787-9SE: same pax capacity as the 787-9

Boeing 787-10SE: same pax capacity as the 787-10

3. Make to the 777X a deep redesign, rename 797 and make a TRUE 777 replacement to create a effective retaliation to Airbus A350-1000: In this case, the 777 design is “a little bit” old (but it isn’t, compared to REAL OLD 737 and 747) and needs to have a “deep shower” and create a aircraft completely new: Despite to keep the CFRP raked wing with Folding wing solution (FWT), the fuselage will be redesigned to look more the 787 and will use the Al-Li alloy to keep fuselage more lighter. And, to keep customers satisfied, would propose more engines, beyond General Electric’s GE9X: Rolls-Royce and Pratt & Whitney (part of United Technologies) would be welcome to be part of project. Batteries will be the same as the 907 and 787R.

Types:

Boeing 797-8: From 300 to 350 pax

Boeing 797-8L: same as 797-8 (with more range – 18,000 km)

Boeing 797-9: From 350 to 410 pax

And:

Boeing 797-10: From 410 pax to 450 pax

4. Create a convicent 747 replacement to countercharge A380: In this case, Boeing would need a new aircraft, build from the scratch and using the materials and methods that I’ve indicated before: In a form of an quad-jet, double-decker (even won’t selling too much) to create a effective and efficient A380 rival: The Boeing 947. Would be with Al-Li and CFRP mix fuselage, with Ni-Cd Batteries and CFRP Folding raked wingtips to pass in narrower taxiways and gates of airports, like Lisbon, and giving more importance to potential airports which needed more tourists. The engines, would be not only GE, but Rolls-Royce as well.

Types:

Boeing 947-8: 450-510 pax

Boeing 947-9: 510-570 pax

Boeing 947-10: 570-620 pax

5. Develop a peaceful relationship with Unions: With this times of uncertainity, the unions wanted more and more. But in crisis period, to support their needs, the only thing Boeing does is cut and outsource. To save the problem, is create the aircraft talking with the Unions (IAM 751 and SPEEA) to integrate them, and their needs to manufacture, on the aircraft design, and give them Boeing shares, like we had done, here in Portugal with TAP Portugal.

Conclusion:

Would be a great idea to save Boeing from this misfortune that Boeing is living and a perfect idea to give a compromise to unions, airlines and passengers, without compromising the profits of Boeing Company in the future.
